Car set on fire in Greenisland

Police in Carrickfergus are appealing for information after a car was set on fire in Greenisland last night.

It is believed the driver’s window of the Vauxhall Corsa was smashed before the vehicle was set on fire in the Gortlane Drive area of Greenisland shortly before 10pm.

A motive for the attack has yet to be established.

Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the Gortlane Drive area between 9.30pm and 10pm on Wednesday evening is asked to contact police at Carrickfergus on 028 9065 0222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Petrol Bomb Thrown At House In Ballymena
Police are appealing for information after a petrol bomb was thrown at a house in Ballymena, Co Antrim. The incident happened at a property in the Barra Drive area at around 3.45am on Saturday, 15 October. The bomb was thrown at the front window and set fire to blinds and a chair. Extensive smoke damage was cause.
