Two charged as arms haul uncovered in west Belfast
Two men have been charged by police after an arms haul was uncovered in west Belfast.
The discovery, which is being linked to the Continuity IRA, saw three vehicles, an AK47 assault rifle and five real and replica handguns seized by police following eight house searches over the past few days.
A shotgun and a quantity of ammunition were also recovered during the raids as well as a notebook containing personal details of security personnel.
Both men, whose names have not yet been released, are due to appear at Laganside Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

Joe Reilly Murder: Man Arrested
A 51-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Joe Reilly. Mr Reilly, 43, was shot at his home in the Glenwood Court area of Poleglass, west Belfast, on 20 October. The suspect was arrested on Monday, 19 December, and has been taken to Musgrave Police station to be questioned.

Heavy Snow Closes Over 80 Schools
Over 80 schools across Northern Ireland have been closed as the heavy snow continues to cause disruption on Tuesday morning. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning, as the snow is continuing to affect many roads. Areas which have been majorly disrupted include Lisburn, Castlereagh and Carryduff.

Warning Signs To Be Installed To Prevent Use Of Scramblers
Warning signs are to be installed across west Belfast to warn against the use of off-road vehicles being used in parks and public spaces. Police will also patrol hotspot areas to disrupt the dangerous, illegal activity and identify the people involved. The scheme has been launched by the West Belfast DPCSP and the PSNI.

UDA bomb move 'not an act of decommissioning'
Police last night discovered 18 pipe bombs on playing fields at Somerdale Park in the Crumlin Road area of north Belfast. The Ulster Defence Association (UDA) claimed it left the devices in the playing fields "as part of the ongoing steps to stabilise and normalise loyalist west Belfast".

Man Charged Following Police Chase In West Belfast
A 70-year-old man has been charged with a number of driving offences following a police chase in west Belfast. It is believed officers tried to stop a car driving erratically in the Glen Road area on Wednesday, 07 February. The driver failed to stop and a short pursuit ensued.
