Man found with stab wound to the head
A man is being treated in hospital after being stabbed in the back of the head in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The 25-year-old victim was discovered at a flat in the Sandy Row area of south Belfast shortly before 4am. He was immediately taken to hospital were his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Police, who are treating the incident as attempted murder, say they are trying to establish a motive for the stabbing and have appealed for any witnesses to contact them at Musgrave Street on 028 90650 222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

NI Misses Cancer Treatment Targets
Northern Ireland's hospitals have failed to meet target times for the treatment of patients referred for suspected cancer, a new report by the Department of Health revealed. Its guidelines say 95% of patients should begin their treatment within 62 days. Last December however, the figure stood at 81%, which was the third monthly fall in a row.

Man Attacked In Lurgan
A man has been attacked in Lurgan, Co Armagh. The assault occurred at a pathway near Taghnevan Close on Sunday, 09 October. Two men kicked and punched the victim and he also sustained a stab wound to his head. He is currently being treated in hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Man Suffers Serious Head Injury In Coleraine Assault
A man has been seriously injured following an attack in Coleraine on Sunday. The 27-year-old man received a serious head injury during the incident on the Castlerock Road. He is currently being treated in hospital. Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Police Hunt Hit-And-Run Driver
Police are serching for the driver of a car involved in a hit-and-run collision in County Armagh. A man in his 60s was seriously injured when he was struck by a car on the Garvaghy Road, close to Saint John's Parish Church, at about 7.40pm on Tuesday. The man was taken to hospital where he is being treated for head injuries.

Man injured in hit-and-run incident
A man has been injured after a hit-and-run incident in west Belfast last night. The man was struck on the Glen Road close to the post office and suffered severe head injuries. He is being treated in hospital. Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
