Police appeal following armed robbery in Magherafelt
Detectives at Magherafelt have appealed for information following a robbery in the town on Wednesday.
Two men, one armed with a handgun, held up a member of staff in a transit van in the Diamond area of the town at around 2.20pm as the employee made his way to a bank to deposit cash. The culprits snatched a cash box from the man before making their escape in a dark coloured saloon car, which was parked nearby.
Detectives want to hear from anyone who has any information about the robbery and have urged anyone who can assist them with their enquiries to contact police at Magherafelt on 028 7963 3701 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

Police appeal following robbery
Police are appealing for information after "an undisclosed sum of money" was stolen outside a post office in east Belfast. The incident occurred on the Beersbridge Road at around 11am on Tuesday morning during a cash delivery. The delivery man set his cash box down after being approached from behind by an unidentified man.
