Three separate road accidents in Derry
Police in Londonderry are appealing for information following three separate road traffic collisions in the city at the weekend.
In the first incident a man in his late teens was struck by a vehicle in the vicinity of the Carriag Bar on the Strand Road at around 2am on Saturday. He sustained neck injuries and remains in a serious condition in hospital.
A short time later two vehicles collided on the Rock Road at around 3.30am. One or both of the vehicles may also have crashed into a nearby builders skip.
Two males in their teens were arrested on suspicion of driving offences and later released pending further enquiries. One of the teenagers sustained minor injuries, the other remains in hospital however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Just over an hour later at around 4.40am another vehicle was involved in a collision with a taxi in the Bradley Pass area of Racecouse Road.
Two people sustained minor injuries. It is believed that a white Fiesta, which collided with the taxi, may have been stolen.
Police have appealed for anyone with information on any of the above incidents to contact police on 0800 555 111.
