Three people being questioned about murder

Detectives are questioning two men and one woman about the murder of a man in his thirties in a stabbing incident in County Antrim.

Trevor Halliday, from the Ravenhill area in Belfast, was stabbed in Pembroke Court, Glengormley at around 02:30am on Sunday morning.

Two other men were injured during the attack although their injuries are not believed to be serious.

SDLP councillor, Noreen McClelland described the murder as a “shocking and brutal attack”.

“People in Carnmoney will be horrified to think that something like this could happen in their area,” she said.

Police in Newtownabbey have appealed to anyone with information about the attack to contact them.

Arson Attack On 5G Mast In West Belfast
Detectives in Belfast are investigating a suspected arson attack on a 5G mast in the Andersonstown Road area. The incident occurred around 9.55pm on Wednesday, November 13th. Detective Sergeant Faulkner confirmed that officers attended the scene alongside the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, who successfully extinguished the blaze.

Three People Charged After Stabbing Attack In South Belfast
Three people have been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing attack in south Belfast. The assault happened on the Laganbank Road at around 11.45pm on Wednesday, 22 August. An 18-year-old man sustained serious injuries in the attack. Five men were arrested and three have been charged with attempted murder and a number of other offences.

Two men die in separate stabbing incidents
Two people have been killed in separate stabbing incidents in Northern Ireland over the weekend. Hugh McKibben, 51, of Main Street in Carrowdore died in a stabbing incident at a house on Inisharoan Court about midnight on Sunday May 5. Four people were arrested following his murder but three have since been released on police bail.
