Toddler shot in head with pellet gun
Police are appealing for information after a toddler was shot in the head with a pellet gun at the weekend.
The two year-old boy was playing outside his home in McDonald Street in the Grosvenor Road area of west Belfast at about 7.45pm on Sunday when the incident occurred.
He was immediately taken to hospital for treatment, but has since been allowed home.
"Police would urge anyone who owns a pellet gun to keep it in a safe place and out of children's reach as such guns can inflict serious injury," a police spokesperson said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives on 028 9065 0222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
