Securicor guard robbed in Belfast
The second robbery to involve a Securicor guard in recent days has occurred in Belfast on Wednesday.
The worker was making a delivery to a cash machine on the Upper Malone Road when he was approached by two men at around 8.30am.
One of the robbers, who was armed with a knife, grabbed a cash box from him before making off in a car which sped off towards Finaghy Road North.
The employee sustained a minor stab wound to his hand and was left "badly shaken" by the incident.
On Monday, a Securicor guard was also robbed the Crumlin Road in the north of the city. No one was injured during the incident in which a substantial sum of money was also stolen.
Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them on 028 9065 0222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
