Injured man found in Belfast cemetery

Police are appealing for information after a man was found badly beaten in a west Belfast cemetery on Wednesday.

The victim was discovered at the City Cemetery on the Falls Road at around 7pm. He is currently being treated in hospital where is condition is described as "serious".

Detectives initially launched an appeal for help in identifying the victim, however with help from the public, he has since been identified.

The circumstances behind the attack are still unclear.

Elsewhere, a woman has suffered an eye injury during an attack in Londonderry on Tuesday.

The victim, who is believed to be in her 20s, was found by a passer-by in a distressed state at Bond's Hill at about 5pm.

Police have asked anyone who saw the woman, who was wearing a pink top and black trousers, in the Clooney area in the hours before the attack to contact them on 028 9065 0222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

Woman Found Unconscious On Co Down Road
A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.

Appeal Following Arson Attack In L'Derry
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following a serious arson attack in the Clon Dara area of L'Derry on Saturday, 23 November. Shortly before 8.20pm, police received a report that an accelerant had been used to ignite the front door and letterbox of a house in the area.
