Man hospitalised following brick attack
A 33-year-old man has been treated for head injuries after being attacked with a brick in Belfast city centre at the weekend.
The victim is believed to have been assaulted in Great Victoria Street at around 4pm on Sunday. He was immediately taken to hospital however his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
His attacker, who is described as being of stocky build and wearing a black jacket, is thought to have left the scene on foot in the direction of nearby Wellwood Street.
Detectives are investigating a motive for the attack and are appealing for anyone who may have any information, or who may have witnessed the incident, to come forward as soon as possible.

Man Stabbed In West Belfast
A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in west Belfast. The attack happened in the Hawthorn Street area at around 1.40pm on Thursday. The victim is believed to be in his 30s. A section of Hawthorn Street was closed and police examined the area. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Two questioned following stabbing
A man has been stabbed in the throat, ear and hands in a knife attack in County Down. The man, aged 27, was attacked at around 9.30pm on Sunday in the South Street area of Newtownards. He made his way to a house in Holywood and was then taken to hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.

Appeal Following Arson Attack In South Belfast
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following an arson attack at a property in south Belfast. At approximately 10.20pm on Saturday, 13 April, police received a report of a fire at a house in the Kilburn Street area. Police attended the scene alongside the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service.
