Armed men rob security guard
Detectives in Newtownabbey are appealing for information following an armed robbery on Monday.
Shortly after 2pm, two men approached a security guard in the Mill Road area, threatened him with a handgun, and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. It is believed that the robbers may have fled on foot in the direction of the nearby Bawnmore Estate.
One of the assailants has been described as being in his thirties, around 6’ tall, with dark hair. He was wearing a grey and beige coloured fleece and light coloured trousers and baseball cap.
Detectives also believe that the culprits may have used a green coloured Rover 800 car prior to the incident and are keen to talk to anyone who may have seen a similar car acting suspiciously in the area before 2pm.

Staff Tackle Robber At Belfast Restaurant
Staff working at a fast food outlet on Belfast's Ormeau Road successfully fought off a would-be robber in the early hours of Friday 07 December. A man entered the premises at around 4am and approached the till area in an attempt to rob the business. The employees managed to wrestle him out of the building and he left the scene empty handed.

Man Ordered To Withdraw Cash At Knife Point
A man has been marched to a cash machine and ordered to withdraw money by two men armed with a large kitchen knife. Police are hunting the culprits after they robbed a house in south Belfast and threatened the occupants before stealing phones, cash and wallets. The incident occurred in the Stranmillis Park Area, shortly after 10.
