Stolen donkeys returned home
Four donkeys, missing since November last year, have been found safe and well in Rathkeale, County Limerick.
The Clint family pets, which were in foal, were stolen from their home in Tandragee two months ago.
Members of the public discovered the donkeys grazing in a field with around 30 other horses yesterday.
The owners were contacted and travelled from County Armagh to Limerick last night to bring the animal's home.
A spokesperson for the Gardai said that "there were tears all round" when the family were reunited with their pets.
Mrs Clint, who had travelled all over Ireland in search of the pets since their disappearance, said she instantly knew that they were her donkeys.
She added that they had been affected by their experience and had lost weight, but other than that they were well.
Gardai are to carry out inquiries as to how the animals ended up in Limerick, and a file on the matter is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
