Ikea plan to come to Belfast
Swedish furniture giant Ikea is planning to set up shop in Northern Ireland.
If the application goes ahead, the superstore is likely to be built near the Holywood exchange, close to Belfast City Airport.
Ikea has already announced plans to set up at Ballymun in Dublin, but is believed to be eager to gain council support to allow them to locate in Belfast.
If the application is given the go ahead, it is likely to create approximately 400 jobs, which will be a boost for the Northern Ireland economy.
Last year, the Irish Government lifted its cap on the size of retail outlets, paving the way for Ikea to enter the Irish market.
Ikea had previously threatened to set up in the North if their proposal for the Ballymun site was turned down.

Traffic Warning For South Belfast Ahead Of Northern Ireland Match
Road users are advised to plan for potential traffic delays in the south Belfast area on Friday, 15th November due to the UEFA Nations League football match between Northern Ireland and Belarus. The match will take place at Windsor Park, kicking off at 7.45pm, and it is expected that around 18,000 supporters will attend.

'Ikea Five' Remanded On Drugs Charges
Two Dublin residents are among the five men charged with having cannabis worth £700,000 at east Belfast's Ikea store. Lester Keating, 40, of Cornduff Road, Blanchardstown and Paul Bennett, 21, from Ashwood Drive, Clondalkin, appeared in court in Belfast today.
