Man arrested in connection with Robb murder
A man has been arrested today in connection with the murder of a former loyalist gunrunner.
Lindsay Robb, 38, died after being attacked in the Ruchazie area of Glasgow, on New Year's Eve 2005.
Police in Strathclyde today confirmed that they had arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with the murder.
Mr Robb, who was a prominent member of the Progressive Unionist Party, was sentenced to 10 years in 1995 for his involvement in loyalist gun-smuggling activities. He was released early under the terms of the Good Friday Agreement.
Following his release in 1999, he moved to Lanarkshire in Scotland with his wife.

Man Charged After Glenarm Shooting
Detectives investigating the incident on Feystown Road on Monday, 25 November, have charged a 41-year-old man with attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, and criminal damage. The accused is due to appear at Ballymena Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday, 28 November.

Glasgow police say that they do not believe the murder of Northern Ireland loyalist Lindsay Robb is linked to paramilitary groups. Mr Robb, 38, was stabbed to death on New Year's eve outside shops in the Ruchazie area in the east of the city in what police described as a frenzied attack.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
