Search to resume for body of missing fisherman

The search for the body of missing fisherman Connor Bogues is to continue later today.

Yesterday, off Ardglass police and army divers carried out a search of the wreckage of the Greenhill, using a remote control underwater camera.

A team of civilian divers also searched the area surrounding the sunken trawler, however nothing was discovered.

The body of 22-year-old Donall Gibson was recovered from the water on Sunday afternoon and was laid to rest near his home in Downpatrick on Wednesday.

Three men were on the fishing vessel when it sank after hitting rocks last Thursday.

The captain of the Greenhill was rescued shortly after the incident happened and was treated in hospital for hypothermia.

Poor weather has halted the underwater search operation at times this week. As an exclusion zone around the site has been lifted, civilian divers may now join the search.

An inquiry into the sinking of the Greenhill is being conducted by marine accident investigators.
