Knife attacker stabs two men in Derry

Two men have been taken to hospital following a stabbing attack in Londonderry.

The pair were in the Strand Road area of the city at around 12.30am when they were attacked by a man in his 30's who was armed with a knife.

One of the victims, who is in his 20's, is said to have sustained serious stab wounds and the other man, who is in his late teens suffered less serious injuries.

Both men are said to be in a stable condition in hospital.

Police in Londonderry have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have any information in relation to the attack, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting attack in L'Derry. A man was shot in the leg at a premises in Central Drive on 27 March. A 26-year-old and a 49-year-old man were arrested on Wednesday, 19 April. They have been detained and are being questioned by the police.

Two Men Arrested Over Bomb Attack On Police Released
Two men arrested in connection with a bomb attack on police in Strabane, Co Tyrone, have been released. A device exploded in the Townsend street area on Tuesday, 21 March, and the officers were "extremely lucky to escape injury", according to the PSNI. The men, aged 20 and 31, were released unconditionally. The investigation is ongoing.

Man Injured In Paramilitary-Style Attack In L'Derry
A man has been injured following a paramilitary-style attack in Co L'Derry. The assault happened in the Glenowen area at around 11pm on Tuesday, 12 July. The victim was attacked after several men forced their way into a house in the area. The man, aged in his 20s, sustained injuries to his leg.

Petrol Bomb Thrown At Police Vehicle In Co Antrim
Two masked men threw a petrol bomb at a police vehicle in Co Antrim. The attack happened in the Castlemara Drive area in Carrickfergus at around 2.20am on Sunday, 29 May. The bomb hit the vehicle, however no damage was caused. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
