Two men taken to hospital after weekend attack
Police in County Antrim have appealed for information after two men were taken to hospital after being attacked at the weekend.
The incident happened in the Coast Road area of Cushendall at around 2.30am on Sunday.
A spokesperson for the PSNI said that the pair were set upon by a number of unknown attackers as they made their way through the Dalriada Avenue and Bridge street area of the town.
The area is believed to have been busy at the time of the incident as a number of people were making their way home from a local nightclub, and police have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the attack to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Man in hospital after Magherafelt assault
A 23-year-old man is being treated in hospital following an assault in Magherfelt at the weekend. The attack is understood to have taken place in the Diamond and Market Street area of the town at around 1.20am on Sunday. The victim sustained injuries to his head during the incident and is currently receiving treatment in hospital.
