Teenager questioned in connection with rape

A teenage boy is being questioned in connection with the rape of a 15-year-old girl at the weekend.

The incident happened in an entry off the Moss Road, at Harmony Hill in Lisburn, at around 9pm on Saturday.

The girl, who had spent most of the evening in the company of around 40 other young people, was attacked after becoming separated from her friends.

Police have appealed for any of the youths who were in the area at the time of the assault to come forward.

They have also appealed for anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area, to get in touch on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Rape Shocks Kilkeel
The seaside fishing town of Kilkeel has been shocked by the rape of a teenage girl in the Co Down town at the weekend. The 17-year-old girl was allegedly attacked in the Greencastle Street area at approximately 11.30pm on Friday. Her attacker is described as being in his late teens, 5ft 10ins tall, of thin build and with short brown hair.
