Two men stabbed in South Belfast attack
Police have appealed for information after two men were stabbed, during an attack in South Belfast in the early hours of this morning.
It is understood that the men were chased from Kitchener Street into Frenchpark Street, shortly before 1.30am.
The two men were then subsequently attacked, with one man, aged 23, suffering a stab wound to his hand and cuts to his face, and his 21-year-old friend being stabbed in the shoulder and receiving cuts and bruises to his head.
Police believe the attack may be connected to the break-in of a car in Kitchener Street, however they have not yet received any reports from the car owner.
Both men were treated in hospital for their injuries which are not thought to be life threatening.
Residents of Frenchpark Street contacted police after one of the men sought refuge from his attackers in a house in the area.
Police have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, to contact them in South Belfast on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Two men arrested in connection with a bomb attack on police in Strabane, Co Tyrone, have been released. A device exploded in the Townsend street area on Tuesday, 21 March, and the officers were "extremely lucky to escape injury", according to the PSNI. The men, aged 20 and 31, were released unconditionally. The investigation is ongoing.

Petrol Bomb Thrown At Police Vehicle In Co Antrim
Two masked men threw a petrol bomb at a police vehicle in Co Antrim. The attack happened in the Castlemara Drive area in Carrickfergus at around 2.20am on Sunday, 29 May. The bomb hit the vehicle, however no damage was caused. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Officer injured in hammer assault
A police officer has been injured after being struck with a hammer in Co Armagh at the weekend. The incident occurred after officers were called to the Thomas Street area of Portadown on Sunday after a Portuguese man reported damage to his car. When officers arrived they saw a man being assaulted in a separate incident nearby.

Man Shot In The Legs In North Belfast
A man has been shot in the legs in north Belfast. The paramilitary-style attack happened in the Jamaica Street area on Sunday, 25 June. The man was taken to hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man shot five times in paramilitary-style attack
A 43-year-old man has been treated in hospital for gun shot wounds following a paramilitary-style attack in south Belfast early this morning. The incident occurred shortly before 3am at a house in Kimberly Street. A number of men forced their way into the house and shot their victim five times, twice in each leg and once in the arm.
