Renewed appeal over last weekend's fatal hit-and-run
Police Officers investigating a fatal hit-and-run incident last weekend are set to revisit the scene in an attempt to learn more about what exactly happened prior to the crash.
Last weekend, 38-year-old Ann-Marie Dineen died after being struck by a car outside the Whitefort Inn, on the Andersonstown Road in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Ms Dineen's best friend was also seriously injured in the collision.
Detectives in west Belfast believe that there were a large number of people in the area when the incident occurred and police will be in the vicinity of the Whitefort Inn just after 1am tomorrow morning to question motorists and pedestrians in a bid to find out more information.
Police have also asked for anyone who may have seen a red coloured Daewoo Lanos in the area at around 1am on February 11, to come forward.
Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact detectives at New Barnsley on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

County Down school damaged by vandals
Detectives in County Down have appealed for information after a school suffered extensive criminal damage at the weekend. Police have said that vandals broke in to the science block at Dromore High School on the Banbridge Road in Dromore, and ransacked around ten classrooms.
