Jobs Fears At West Belfast Company
Around 100 jobs are under threat at a medical equipment company in west Belfast.
The American owned firm Trivirix International has gone into administration and union officials have today warned that jobs may have to be cut.
The company, which has a factory at the Springvale Business Park on the Springfield Road, alerted staff on the possibility of redundancy earlier today.

M&S Drivers' Strike Looms
It looks likely today that deliveries to Marks and Spencer stores throughout the UK will be hit by a threatened drivers' strike. Some 100 staff at worldwide courier company DHL's centre in Mallusk near Belfast and two depots in England are considering walking out after a pay freeze, the union Unite said.

265 New Jobs Announced In Athlone And Galway
A total of 265 new jobs have been announced for Athlone and Galway. In Athlone, DPD Ireland will create 200 new jobs over the next five years, with 70 of the vacancies expected to be filled before Christmas. The new jobs are part of a €13m investment, which will see the company double the size of its sorting facility.

A Belfast based call centre is expected to create around 300 new jobs, it has today been revealed. The company, Gem, has just won four major contracts, including Channel Four and online entertainment company Play.com.

Alliance Belfast Castle representative Nuala McAllister has expressed her sadness that 197 jobs at the call centre company Teletech have been lost after they lost a major contract for Nissan. Nuala McAllister said: "This is extremely sad news that 197 jobs have been lost. This will be devastating news for the employees and their families.
