East Belfast petrol bomb attack may be racist

A Filipino family in east Belfast have escaped injury following a petrol bomb attack on their home in Dundonald in the early hours of this morning.

Two devices were thrown at the house in the Church Road area of Castlereagh at around 3.45am.

One failed to ignite, while the other caused minor scorch damage to the property.

A man, a woman, and a child were in the house at the time of the attack, however no one was injured.

Police are keen to speak to three people wearing hooded tops seen in the area at around the time the incident took place.

Detectives believe there may be a racial motive behind the attack and have urged anyone with information in relation to the incident to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

House Damaged In Petrol Bomb attack
A house in Larne has been damaged in a petrol bomb attack, according to police. It happened on Church Way at around 10.30pm on Wednesday. A man was in the house at the time but was unhurt. Minor damage was caused to the property and a window was smashed. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Stabbed As Gunmen Target Teen
The 21-year-old man has been stabbed after in an attack by three men in west Belfast. It happened at lunchtime on Saturday in the Beechmount area with the victim taken to hospital after the incident, where his condition is described as serious. Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward with information.

Petrol Bombs Thrown At House In East Belfast
Police are appealing for information following a petrol bomb attack on a house in east Belfast. The incident happened in the Larkfield Road area at around 11.45pm on Friday, 19 May. Two petrol bombs were thrown at the property and one failed to ignite. Significant damage was caused to the door of the property. No-one was in the house at the time.

Family escape injury in arson attack
Police have appealed for witnesses following an arson attack at a house in Co Tyrone early this morning. The incident at around 1am, saw a refuse bin which had been pushed against the door of the house in Lismore Park, Sion Mills, set alight. The blazing bin caused minor damage to the property.

Antrim family targeted in petrol bomb attack
An Antrim family have escaped injury in a petrol bomb attack early this morning. Flammable liquid was poured through the letterbox of the house at Renown Court at about 4am. A woman and her two children were inside the house at the time.
