Youth arrested in connection with attempted murder

Police have arrested a 14-year-old male on suspicion of attempted murder.

The arrest was made earlier this morning and is believed to be in connection with a petrol bomb attack on a home in the Ballymurphy area of west Belfast on Wednesday.

Two women and three children escaped from the blaze at the house on Whitecliff Parade, which was attacked in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Pensioners Flee Bangor Arson Attack
Police in North Down are appealing for information following a suspicious fire at a community hall in the Skipperstone Road area of Bangor on Thursday. At around 9.00pm, petrol was poured over the door of the centre and set alight. A number of pensioners were in the community centre at the time.

Murder Inquiry Over Tyrone Stabbing
The PSNI has launched a murder inquiry into the death of a man in Dungannon. A man was stabbed by another man at a house in the Woodvale Park area of the town during the early hours of Thursday morning. A 34-year-old man who was arrested following the incident is currently being questioned by detectives.

Two Charged With Attempted Murder
A teenager and a man have been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in west Belfast. The attack happened in the Cullingtree Road area in the early house of Sunday morning. The victim, aged 18, is currently in a serious condition in hospital.

Man Arrested Over Colin Horner Murder
A man has been arrested over the murder of Colin Horner. Mr Horner was fatally shot outside a supermarket in Bangor in front of his son on 28 May this year. The 34-year-old suspect was arrested in Newtownards on Wednesday morning, 04 October. He has been taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Musgrave Police Station to be questioned.
