Helicopter chase pair charged with robbery
Two men, who were arrested on Wednesday night after a 60-mile chase involving a police helicopter, have been charged in connection with two robberies.
The pair were arrested in Omagh after the helicopter tracked the motorcycle they were travelling on from County Antrim.
Darren McKeown, aged 21, from Ardmore Park in Finaghy, and Sean Nawaz, 24, from west Belfast, but with no fixed address, appeared at Belfast Magistrates Court earlier today.
The men were charged with two robberies, in Newtownabbey and Jordanstown, and also with possession of a knife.
Mr Nawaz was also charged with three motoring offences, including driving whilst disqualified, dangerous driving and having no insurance.
Both men were remanded in custody until April 28.

Attempted Carjacking In West Belfast
Police are investigating an attempted carjacking in west Belfast on Tuesday, November 19th. At around 5:30pm, a man entered a parked car at Hillhead Court and attempted to steal it. A woman passenger was assaulted when she resisted the man's demands. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s wearing all black, fled the scene on foot.
