Two die in separate County Antrim road crashes
Two people have died in separate road collisions in County Antrim.
In the first incident, it is understood that three cars were involved in the crash on the Lisnevenagh Road at around 10pm last night.
Police have reported that six people were injured during the incident and one man later died from his injuries in hospital.
A spokesperson from the Fire and Rescue Service said that the cars were scattered around the road and spaced some distance apart, which indicated that speed was a factor.
He also added that fire services helped free two people from their vehicles.
Meanwhile, a man has died in another road traffic collision near Lisburn.
The incident, which happened on the Glenavy Road, saw the road between Whiney Hill and the Kilcorig Junction remain closed for some time on Thursday afternoon.
It is understood that only one car was involved in the crash.
