Armed robbery in County Armagh
Police in County Armagh are appealing for information following an armed robbery last night.
Two masked men, armed with handguns and a hammer entered a convenience store on the Newforge Road in Magheralin, Craigavon and threatened two female members of staff.
The robbers demanded that the woman hand over the contents of the till before making off with an undisclosed sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes.
Police have said that the men made their escape in an old style, silver coloured, Ford Fiesta, which was driven by a third man.
The first man, who was armed with a hammer and a handgun, has been described as wearing a black sports type jacket with a white stripe at the armpit seams, blue denim jeans and black & white trainers.
The second man, who was armed with a gun, is described as wearing a blue sports type jacket on with a red stripe down both sleeves and possibly combat style trousers with trainers.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have been in the shop on the Newforge Road between 9.45pm and 10pm yesterday evening contact detectives on 02838 325144 or 0845 600 8000.
Alternatively they can be contacted anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Two workers have been left shaken following an armed robbery at an off licence in south Belfast. The incident happened on the Upper Malone Road on Friday, 02 March. Two men, one armed with a claw hammer, demanded money from the till. They made off in the direction of the Taughmonagh estate.
