Officers injured during weekend car theft
A man and two teenagers have been charged following a road traffic collision involving a stolen vehicle that left five police officers injured at the weekend.
It has been reported that the Ford Escort in which they were travelling, collided with three police vehicles in north Belfast after it was seen speeding down the wrong way of the motorway in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police arrested five people in connection with the incident, including a 17-year-old youth who has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking and also stands accused of assaulting police, dangerous driving and driving while unfit.
He will appear at Belfast Magistrates Court next month.
An 18-year-old who was also travelling in the car will appear in court tomorrow, charged with allowing himself to be driven in a stolen car, while a 23-year-old man facing the same charge, will appear in court in Belfast next month.
Two juveniles who were also arrested have been released pending reports.

Two teenagers have been charged after a stolen car they were driving reversed into a police car. The car, which is believed to have been taken from the Kent Street area of Belfast, was seen being driven erratically on the Whitecliff Parade on Tuesday evening. Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Man charged following road death
A man has been charged following a road accident on Monday in which a 33-year-old woman died. The 38-year-old man was charged with causing death by dangerous driving and driving while unfit. A second woman was seriously injured in the crash which occurred on Monday on the Newry to Belfast road.
