Two due in court over terrorism charges

Two men who were being held for questioning in connection with terrorist charges are due to appear in court in Banbridge.

After a long-running investigation by officers from the police services organised crime squad into paramilitary organised crime, the 37-year-old will face charges of membership of the Real IRA, possession of money or property with the purposes of terrorism, and possession of articles for use in terrorism.

The 50-year-old will also face charges of being a member of the Real IRA and possession of money or property with the purposes of terrorism.

The charges relate to the recovery of 15 million cigarettes in County Armagh last year.

Man & Woman Facing Terrorism Charges
Two people have been charged with terrorism offences following the search of an address in Ballymena, County Antrim on Friday 05 July. The 31-year-old woman and 33-year-old man face charges which include possession of explosive substances and possession of ammunition.

Men Charged After 20 Trafficking Victims Rescued
Two men have been charged by detectives investigating labour exploitation after 20 people thought to have been victims of human trafficking were rescued in a major police operation.
