Cork Clubs And Sporting Organisations Awarded €6.5million

Micheál Martin, Irish Minister for Enterprise, Trade & Employment has welcomed the allocation of almost €6.5million for Cork clubs and sporting organisations under the Government's Sport's Capital Programme.

"Clubs all over Cork city and county will get almost €6.5 million to allow them further develop their facilities and equipment under the Government's announcement today. All over Cork, these clubs are at the heart of every community and the volunteers, young and old who give of their time make a huge and valued contribution. This funding will be used in a positive way to improve the standard of facilities and attract more people to participate in clubs and sporting organisations. Organisations like Ballyphehane Community Association, Highfield RFC, Carrigaline United AFC and Cumann Iamanaiochta Cloch Dhubh, representing different games and sports have benefited from this funding", Micheál Martin said.
