Royal Mail staff return to work
Over 20 employees at a Royal Mail delivery office in Antrim have returned to work after going on strike following a dispute with management.
It is understood that the action was taken after a member of staff was suspended from the office earlier today.
It was expected that deliveries to the areas to which the office is responsible, Toombridge, Antrim and Randalstown, would be affected, however Royal Mail said that they were working to resolve the issue.
A spokesperson for Royal Mail today said that bosses were extremely disappointed by the action and added that employees in the Antrim office have been asked to work differently over the summer period doing more indoor work, such as preparing deliveries for seasonal staff.
He concluded that this re-alignment of working duties is no different to what employees in all our other delivery offices are being asked to do.

Action Fraud has issued a warning over a fraud involving fake Royal Mail missed delivery cards. It is understood that 'something for you' cards are being posted through letterboxes claiming that a delivery couldn't be made.

Carrick Hit By Postal Strike
Postal workers will refuse to work in one NI delivery office this weekend. As strikes continued in England this week - with action in Bristol Yorkshire, the Midlands and the South East of England - the delivery office in Carrickfergus will be hit this weekend. Postal staff will not be working from the Co Antrim office this Saturday.
