Intruders raid Dunmurry Industrial Estate

Detectives in Dunmurry have appealed for information following an incident, which occurred in the Kilwee Industrial Estate in the Upper Dunmurry Lane, last night.

Just before 10.30pm, five masked and gloved men entered the estate and ordered the security guard to remain in his hut.

They then approached a lorry driver and forced him into a white coloured pick up truck, and proceeded to drive him around the estate for approximately 15 minutes, while others searched his lorry.

The intruders then made their escape, only taking the lorry drivers mobile phone.

It is understood that no weapons were used during the incident.

Police have asked for anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area between 10pm and 11pm last night, to contact them, and would especially like to hear from anyone who may have seen the white coloured pick-up truck being driven around the Kilwee Industrial Estate.

They can be contacted on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.
