TV equipment stolen in west Belfast

Police in west Belfast have appealed for information following the theft of a quantity of professional television broadcast equipment.

A spokesperson for the PSNI has revealed that the occupants of a blue coloured Renault Clio, left their vehicle containing the equipment, parked at a hotel on the Springfield Road for convenience to the West Circular Road, and when they returned discovered that the kit had been stolen from the car.

The stolen goods consisted of specialist video cameras, lenses, and sound equipment, which would only be of use to those specifically trained to use it.

Detectives have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or have any information in relation to it, to contact them on 0845 600 8000 or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Sports Firm Burgled In South Belfast
Police suspect a vehicle was used to break into a business in south Belfast. Thieves made off with a large quantity of sports clothing during a break in at Teamwear Ireland on Stockmans Way. Cricket equipment, three laptops, an iPad and a sum of money was also stolen. Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Equipment Stolen From East Belfast Nursery School
A nursery school in east Belfast has been burgled with laptops and a sum of money stolen. Glendhu Nursery on the Garnerville Road was targeted at some point over the weekend with considerable damage caused, including stolen electronics and other valuable items. The nursery caretaker discovered the scene on Sunday morning, 31 March.

Ammunition Found During West Belfast Security Alert
A quantity of ammunition has been found during a security alert in west Belfast. Suspected stolen artwork was also discovered at a property in the St Mary's Gardens area on Thursday, 14 September. Detectives from Musgrave Criminal Investigation Branch have launched an investigation. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Vital Lifesaving Equipment Stolen From Newtownstewart Fire Station
Vital lifesaving equipment has been stolen from from Newtownstewart Fire Station in Co Tyrone. David Nichol, Western Area Commander, Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) confirmed that several pieces of equipment – critical to operational response to road traffic collisions – were stolen during a break-in between 10.15pm and 10.

Police Appeal After Building Equipment Stolen From Sites In Lisburn
Police are appealing for information after building equipment worth thousands of pounds was stolen from a site in the Lisburn area. Generators and transformers as well as welding equipment were stolen from a construction site near to Sprucefield Park and Ride facility sometime overnight.
