Arson attack on two schools
Police in County Antrim are treating an attack on a secondary school in Newtownabbey as "malicious."
Emergency services were called to the Newtownabbey Community High School in the Rathcoole Drive area of the town at around 5am this morning, where they discovered that flammable liquid had been poured through a window.
Major damage was caused to a music room and a number of musical instruments, worth thousands of pounds were also damaged in the attack.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a primary school sustained damage during an arson attack in Ballymena.
A mobile classroom was damaged during the fire, which happened at St Louis Primary School on the Cullybackey Road, yesterday.
Police have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed either incident, or who may know the identity of those responsible for either attack, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Pedestrian Injured In Belfast Hit-and-Run
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a hit-and-run incident in the Botanic Avenue area of Belfast in the early hours of Thursday morning. Officers were called to the scene shortly before 1.30am after a male pedestrian was struck by a maroon Mazda. Despite being injured, the pedestrian left the area before police arrived.

B&Q store damaged in arson attack
B&Q's Newtownabbey store has been damaged in an arson attack. The store sustained smoke and water damage following a small blaze caused by an incendiary-type device left in a timber section of the store. It is reported that a number of people were working in the store at the time the device exploded. No-one was injured.

Belfast primary school targeted in arson attack
More than 100 primary six and primary seven pupils at a Belfast school have been told not to attend school after an arson attack at the weekend damaged classrooms. In all three classrooms at St Anne’s primary school in Dunmurry were destroyed in a fire causing damage estimated at a quarter of a million pounds.

House Damaged In Petrol Bomb attack
A house in Larne has been damaged in a petrol bomb attack, according to police. It happened on Church Way at around 10.30pm on Wednesday. A man was in the house at the time but was unhurt. Minor damage was caused to the property and a window was smashed. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
