Four arrested after city attack
Police in east Belfast have appealed for information following an assault on a man in the early hours of this morning.
A PSNI spokesperson said that a young man was assaulted in the Connsbrooke Avenue area of the city shortly before 12.40am this morning.
The victim, who has not yet been named, was taken to the Royal Victoria hospital in Belfast, where he is said to be in a "critical condition."
Four men have been arrested, and are currently helping police with their inquiries into the attack.
Detectives have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the assault, or who may have any information in relation to it, should contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Serious assault in Belfast city centre
Police have appealed for information in relation to a serious assault in Belfast city centre at the weekend. An altercation broke out between two men outside the Ulster Hall in Bedford Street at around 6pm on Saturday evening, which resulted in a 56-year-old man being seriously injured. The man remains in a critical condition in hospital.

Police are appealing for information after a gang assaulted a man and stole his guns in Co Antrim. The masked men forced their way into the man's home in Burnbrae in Bushmills at around 1.30am on Tuesday morning. They hit the man before tying his hands behind his back and escaping with three guns.
