Man assaulted by gang of five
Police in County Antrim have appealed for information following an assault in Ballymena, yesterday evening.
A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital after being attacked by up to five males, close to the Larne link Road, near the Ballykeel roundabout, at around 6pm.
The victim sustained cuts, bruises and swelling to his head and hands, however his condition is not believed to be life threatening.
The attackers are believed to have made their escape in a silver coloured Ford Focus car with a spoiler on the rear.
Anyone who may have witnessed the attack, or who may have any information in relation to it, should contact detectives in Ballymena on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Appeal Issued After Man Attacked In Ballymena
Police are appealing for information after a man sustained facial injuries during an assault in Ballymena. Three men attacked the victim in the Saintfield Place area at around 9.30pm on Wednesday, 14 March. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The men made off with a sum of money and a mobile phone.

A man has been attacked by a gang of men armed with hammers in Belfast. The assault happened in the Friendly Street area at around 3pm on Sunday, 03 December. A teenager has been shot in the leg in Dunmurray. The 18-year-old male was walking down an alley in Summerhill Park at around 9pm last night, when he was attacked by a masked man. He was taken to hospital and his injury is not believed to be life threatening.
