Three arrested over Bangor murder
Three men have now been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in Bangor, County Down on Tuesday evening.
Mark Christie, 36, was found on the road near the junction of Owen Roe Drive in the Kilcooley Estate, and the Millisle Road in Bangor, shortly after 11pm.
It has been reported that he was attacked by up to six men who may have been armed with machetes or hatchets.
Mr Christie who comes from the Whitehall area of Bangor, was given a suspended jail term on charges of assault last week, however police have not confirmed if the murder was linked to this.
Police have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area, or who may have any information relating to the murder, to contact them on 0845 600 8000 or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Fourth man arrested in murder probe
Police investigating the murder of a man in County Down on Tuesday evening, have arrested a fourth man. Yesterday, three men were also taken into custody in connection with the killing. Murder investigation after body find
Police in County Down have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a man's body yesterday evening. The body, 36-year-old Mark Christie, was found on the road near the junction of Owen Roe Drive in the Kilcooley Estate, and the Millisle Road in Bangor, at around 11pm. He had been beaten to death.
