Hijacking incident in south Belfast
Police in Belfast have appealed for information following a hijacking incident in the city yesterday afternoon.
Shortly before 12.50pm, a man, who was making a delivery to a business on the Lisburn Road, was approached by two men armed with a screwdriver.
They threatened the delivery man and got into his Mercedes van and drove him to the Shankhill Road area of the city, before letting him go.
The hijackers then made off in the vehicle, which contained a large quantity of clothing worth a substantial sum of money.
The robbers are described as being of heavy build, and were both wearing blue jackets, jeans, baseball caps, dark glasses, and gloves.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have any information in relation to it, are asked to contact police at Musgrave Street on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed during a car hijacking in Co Antrim on Tuesday. The incident occurred at the Kingsway Complex in Dunmurry at around 10pm. The man was getting into his vehicle when he was approached by another man who demanded his keys.
