Attempted abduction in County Down
Police in County Down have appealed for information following the attempted abduction of a 13-year-old boy earlier in the week.
The incident happened at around 7am on Wednesday morning, when the child was waiting at a bus stop on the Ardglass Road in Downpatrick.
A car pulled up alongside the boy, and the man and woman inside tried to encourage him to get into the vehicle.
The child told them that he was waiting for his school bus, and as the bus approached, the couple drove away.
This is the second time this week that an abduction attempt has been made in the area.
On Monday evening, a man tried to entice a 10-year-old girl into his car.
Police have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information which may be of use to police investigating the incident, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Attempted abduction of child in Armagh
Police in Craigavon have appealed for information relating to the attempted abduction of an eight-year-old boy. The incident occurred at around 6pm yesterday evening, in the Drumbeg area of the town. The man is believed to have tried to entice the boy into his small blue hatchback car, but fled after the boy refused.
