Man arrested in connection with cannabis find
Police in County Down have arrested a man in connection with the seizure of cannabis resin with an estimated street value of £18 million.
A spokesperson for the PSNI today said that the man is currently being questioned by detectives.
Over three-and-a-half tons of the drug was discovered hidden in a warehouse in Newtownards on October 10.
Two people have already been charged in connection with the find.

Man Charged After Glenarm Shooting
Detectives investigating the incident on Feystown Road on Monday, 25 November, have charged a 41-year-old man with attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, and criminal damage. The accused is due to appear at Ballymena Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday, 28 November.

A man has been arrested after £140,000 of cannabis was discovered in a car by police in Belfast. The seizure was made in the Ainsworth area on Monday, 27 March. The 37-year-old suspect has been arrested on suspicion of the importation and possession of cannabis.

Police discovered the cannabis factory at a house in the Keenaghan Road area on Tuesday. A quantity of herbal cannabis and a number of suspected cannabis plants in various stages of growth were seized.
