Man remanded over Keady murder

A 43-year-old man has appeared in court charged in connection with an incident in County Armagh last week, in which a man died after he and his girlfriend were doused in petrol and set on fire.

David Harold Graham, from Shergrim Glen in Omagh, County Tyrone, appeared at Newry Magistrates Court charged with perverting justice and withholding information.

He pleaded not guilty to both charges.

Thomas O'Hare, 33, died following the incident, which happened at his home in Tassagh, near Keady last Monday.

His girlfriend, 21-year-old Lisa McClatchey, remains in a critical condition in the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

A Detective Sergeant today told the court that he believed that he could connect the defendant to the crime.

Mr Graham was remanded in custody and will appear at Armagh Magistrate's Court via video-link on November 28.
