Police warn businesses of incendiary attacks
Police have warned business owners and key-holders in County Antrim to check their premises following a recent number of incendiary attacks in the area.
A spokesman for the PSNI said: "It is extremely important that those involved in business in the Antrim area carry out a thorough search of their premises.
“An incendiary device has the potential to destroy property or take human life. Its purpose is to cause widespread damage and devices can be left in garments, furnishings and upholstery – anywhere they can catch fire easily.
"Anyone who witnesses any suspicious activity should contact police. And anyone who finds anything suspicious should leave it alone.
"Members of staff should not touch or move any suspicious looking objects but rather contact police immediately."
The Real IRA has been blamed for a number of recent fire-bomb attacks on businesses in Belfast, Newry and Coleraine.
