Man arrested in connection with Keady murders
Police investigating the double murders of a couple who were set on fire by a gang at their home in County Armagh last year, have arrested one man.
The 57-year-old man was arrested in County Armagh earlier today, and is currently being questioned by detectives in Ardmore police station in Newry, County Down.
Lisa McClatchey, 21, and Thomas O'Hare, 33, were in their home in the Foley Road area of Tassagh, Keady, on November 6 2006, when a gang of up to six men broke in.
The gang then assaulted the couple, doused them in petrol and set them alight.
The pair were taken to hospital, but later died from their injuries.
Detectives investigating the murders have been waiting to speak to four brothers who were admitted to a Dublin hospital suffering from serious burns just hours after the incident happened.
So far, three of the men have been discharged, however have all been deemed as medically unfit to be interviewed.
A number of people have been questioned in connection with the murders, however only one man has been charged with perverting the course of justice and withholding information.
