Armed robbery in County Down
Police in County Down have appealed for information following an armed robbery yesterday evening.
The incident happened at around 11.50am, when a delivery was being made to an off-license in the Bryansburn Road area of Bangor.
During the incident, a white coloured Transit van reversed up beside the delivery van and two men got out leaving the driver in the vehicle.
The pair approached the delivery men and threatened them with a gun before making off with a large quantity of cigarettes.
Detectives investigating the robbery have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or noticed the white Transit van in the area before or after the incident to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

The incident happened shortly after 10.30am in the Antrim Road area of the city, when three men – one armed with a wheel brace - approached and threatened the delivery staff. The thieves then made off with a quantity of cigarettes.

Man to appear in court on robbery charges
An 18-year-old man is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court today charged with attempted armed robbery and conspiracy to rob a cash delivery van. The charges relate to an incident, which occurred on November 24, 2005, outside a store on the Shore Road in Newtownabbey.

Delivery Driver Hit By His Own Van During Robbery
A man is being treated in hospital after he was struck by his own delivery van when it was stolen in Craigavon on Monday, 20 March. The victim had delivered a parcel to a house in Lakeview Court at around 6.45pm and was then struck on the back on the head while he walked back to his white Ford Transit.
