US congresswomen arrive in NI on fact-finding mission
A delegation of US Congresswomen has arrived in Northern Ireland on a five-day fact-finding visit.
The women, who arrived yesterday, will be holding talks with all of Northern Ireland's political parties during a stay which aims to provide the group with a cross-section of opinion and experience of life in the province.
The visit has been organised jointly by the Institute of Governance at Queen's University and the Northern Ireland Women's European Platform alongside the US-based International Women's Democracy Centre.
Bronagh Hinds, of the Queen's Institute of Governance, said the visit was an example of the US's continued interest in Northern Ireland's affairs.

The Northern Ireland team arrived back home to a heroes welcome on Monday night, 27 June. Thousands of supporters attended the Fanzone at Titanic Quarter to welcome them home from Euro 2016. Manager Michael O'Neill and the players all lined up on the stage to resounding cheers.

During a speech at Queen's University Belfast, Mr Corbyn said that Labour will not tolerate a hard-border in NI. "Labour will not support any Brexit deal that includes the return of a hard border to this island," he said.
