Bus driver robbed at gunpoint
Masked men have robbed a bus driver at gunpoint in Londonderry.
The driver had stopped for a passenger at Belmont on the Racecourse Road, just after 10pm on Thursday evening. Two masked men got on the bus and threatened him and demanded cash. One of the men pointed what appeared to be a gun at the driver.
They stole around £100 before running off.

Bus Driver Robbed In Monkstown Estate
A Metro bus driver has been robbed after three masked men boarded the bus armed with a screwdriver in the Monkstown estate, at approximately 19.00 on Tuesday. The gang demanded cash before making off to a woodland close by.

Man Dies After Bus Fall In Belfast
Detectives are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man who fell from a bus in Belfast. Police have said that they believe the man was travelling on a 2J Translink Metro bus service at around 11:15am on Friday, 08 November, when he suffered a fall as the bus travelled along Royal Avenue, near it's junction with North Street.

Translink is urging women to find out more about a career as a bus driver. The firm is encouraging females to take part in 'Have A Go Days' to increase the numbers of women applying. Translink is currently recruiting for Metro, Glider and Ulsterbus drivers.

Man Pleads Guilty To Being Getaway Driver In North Belfast Robberies
A 39-year-old man has been sentenced to seven and half years after pleading guilty to being involved as a getaway driver in two robberies. Ross Thompson will serve three years and nine months in custody, with the remaining three years and nine months on licence.

Motorist Robbed By Masked Men
Police have appealed for information after a driver was robbed by three masked men. According to police the man was driving on Lanark Way at about 06:30 on Monday morning when a silver car forced the driver to stop. Two men, one understood to be armed with a hatchet, then got into the mans car and demanded money.
