Medical Centre 'safe' after search
Queen's University Medical Biology Centre has been declared safe following reports of fumes in the area.
Firefighters called to the centre on the Lisburn Road declared the area safe on Thursday evening after a major operation by officers wearing breathing apparatus who searched the building.
Officers identified one possible area where there may have been a spill, and the area is being monitored.

PSNI Thank Person Who Stopped Fleeing Man
The PSNI has praised an individual who assisted in the detention of a male in Belfast City Centre yesterday, 22 May. A male, who had been seen acting suspiciously in the Glengall Street area, attempted to make off from apprehending officers. Police said a member of the public stepped in and "aided in the detention" of the man.

North Belfast Security Alert Declared 'Elaborate Hoax'
A security alert in the Glencairn Street area of north Belfast has been declared an "elaborate hoax". Shortly before 11.30pm last night, Wednesday 19 July, it was reported that a suspicious object had been left on the windowsill of a house in the area. Officers attended the scene and closed Glencairn Street and several nearby streets.

Lurgan returning to normal after blaze at chemical unit
Lurgan town centre was returning to normal today following a fire at a chemical storeroom in the Co Armagh town over the weekend. A fire and explosion at a storeroom on Watson's Lane on Saturday afternoon saw emergency services impose a 400-metre evacuation zone around the site.

The An Creagán Visitor Centre in Creggan has officially opened its new entrance, interpretative exhibition and craft shop. The Centre, which is located in the foothills of the Sperrin mountains, has been described as an important part of the regeneration of the Creggan area.

Bereaved Families Pay Tribute To Tragic Cookstown Teens
Families of the tree tragic teens who died in a crush at a St Patricks event on Sunday have paid tribute to their lost loved ones. The young victims, 16-year-old Connor Currie, 17-year-old Lauren Bullock and 17-year-old Morgan Barnard, died after the incident at the Greenvale Hotel in Cookstown on Sunday 17 March.
