County Antrim Search Ends

The police and coastguard have ended a search off the County Antrim coast following the discovery of a body at Waterfoot at the weekend.

The emergency services have said that they were carrying out the searches as a precaution as it was not known whether there was anyone else with the man that was found on Sunday.

A post mortem examination is to be carried out on the body of the man who was found on the shoreline at Garron Road in Waterfoot, at around 1.00pm on Sunday.

The dead man has been described as being between the ages of 20 and 30, of medium build, about 5ft 8in with close-cropped light brown hair.

He was wearing blue jeans, trainers and a black T-shirt with a Delux logo and it is not yet known how he died.

Police in Coleraine have appealed for anyone with information about his identity to come forward.

Body Found In Search For Missing Man Lee Johnston
The PSNI have reported the discovery of a body in the Maghera Area of County L'Derry. The discovery was made by officers investigating the disappearance of 21-year-old Lee Johnston. It is understood that the no official identification has yet been made.

Body Found In Search For Missing Man
Police investigating the disappearance of 21-year-old William Davey have found a body. Mr Davey was last seen in Larne on Saturday, 31 October. He is believed to have gone to a bar in the Lower Cross Street area. The body was located in the Exchange Road area.

Co Antrim Man Found Dead In Ibiza Sustained Head Injuries
A County Antrim man found dead in a hotel room in Ibiza sustained head injuries, according to Ireland's expert State Pathologist. Alan Drennan, 21, was found dead just 24 hours after arriving in Ibiza. Mr Drennan was detained by Spanish police when he arrived on the holiday island, and friends claim that he was attacked by the police.

Police Appeal For Parents Of Baby Found Dead In 1984
Police have issued an appeal for the parents of a baby boy found dead on the banks of the River Lagan on 21 February 1984. A woman out walking her dog found the babies body inside a green plastic bag at Legacurry Road in Lisburn 30 years ago. A post-mortem examination found that the baby had died of head injuries.
