Men Charged With Londonderry Murder

Two men have been charged with the murder of a 19-year-old man in Londonderry.

Liam Devlin died in hospital after he suffered head injuries following a confrontation in the Linsfort Drive area of the Creggan estate at 2.30am on Saturday morning.

Mr Devlin was from Burnfoot in County Donegal and the two accused are aged 19 and 20 years.

The men are expected to appear at Londonderry Magistrate’s Court today.

Ballymurphy Murder Accused Remanded
A court has today heard of a brutal killing in a troubled area of west Belfast. A 49-year-old man was remanded in custody after being charged with the murder of Gerald Devlin, a west Belfast father-of-six. Anthony Notorantonio whose address was not given in court, is also charged with affray on the same date.
