Man Faces Robbery Charges
A man who attempted to rob a bar in west Belfast on Saturday night bought an imitation gun on the internet a court has heard today.
Thomas Maguire, 44, from Rosnareen Avenue, Belfast was charged with attempted robbery. He was released on bail of £1,500.
Mr Maguire, who was also charged with carrying a handgun, entered the Glenowen Inn on the Glen Road and demanded money from the till.
Staff and customers took the gun from him and handed him over to the police.
He is required to report to police on a daily basis.
