Police Seize Cash During Searches
Police seized a total of £76,000 during searches in Belfast and County Antrim on Tuesday as part of an investigation into suspected gambling fraud.
Gaming machines, a substantial sum of cash, documents and other items were seized during the searches and were taken away for further examination.
Police will make an application under the Proceeds of Crime Act to freeze the money.
The £76,000 seizure was coupled with £73,000 that was seized in Bangor, County Down last week.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland have said that the total seizure of almost £150,000 was part of an ongoing investigation into suspected breaches of betting, gaming and lottery legislation.
The new specialist financial investigators, which were announced recently, will form an integral part of ongoing enquiries.

Man Charged Over £60k Cannabis Find
A man is facing charges for drugs offences after police seized around £60,000 of cannabis in County Down. The drugs were discovered during a vehicle stop and search in Moira on Thursday, 19 September. Detectives have charged the 49-year-old man with possession and possession with intent to supply a Class B controlled drug.

A man has been charged with drugs offences in Co Antrim. The 42-year-old man was charged after police seized £30,000 of suspected herbal cannabis in the Ballymoney area. He was arrested on the Frosses Road on Monday. He has been charged with possession of a class B controlled drug and possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply.

A man has been arrested in south Belfast after police seized ammunition and drugs during search in Newtownards, Co Down. The items were found during the search of two properties in the area on Monday, 05 September. The 30-year-old suspect is being questioned at a police station in Belfast. Investigations are ongoing.
